German Apple Strudel – This recipe was described as the classic German version of strudel, which calls to my German roots on my dad's side. (I was surprised to see bread crumbs in the recipe.)
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
This dough was very smooth and nice to work with. I tried the technique of whacking the dough on the counter, which worked well… except for the time a chunk flew off the end!
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
My goal was to impress my German-heritage dad with my strudel. He was pleased with my results – if not shocked by my previously undiscovered abilities!
