Cherry Chocolate and Caramel Apple Sponge Puddings: rich chocolate sponge topped with Door County cherries and a cherry sauce, and vanilla-cinnamon sponges topped with apples and a homemade caramel drizzle.

I was delighted with how well these turned out! I had never done a boiled dessert and was expecting the worst, but the topping gelled well with the sponge and with a little sauce they are perfectly moist and rich. Very pleased. I was a little experimental with the recipe, using a couple base sponge recipes and skewing with the flavors, so all in all I could not have asked for a better result.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
Door County cherries top the chocolate sponge and local butter and eggs were used for both sponges.
