Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?

This was my second batch. My first I accidentally put in half of the dry ingredients I should have, which resulted in an oozy, crunchy, butter-soaked mess. So, yeah, just follow the recipe and it goes well. Also, chilling the cookies after spreading the jam and icing, but before sandwiching, helped with uniformity of the final products. However, this was a fairly simple recipe and the result is delicious. Crumbly and sweet, and a very pretty dessert.

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.

The jam is homemade with strawberries from a local market.
