Upside Down Cake

Give your cake a name based on the ingredients and decoration – and tell us about the origin of your recipe.

Strawberry Upside Down Cake, a recipe of my own creation as a combination of my favorite yellow cake and fresh picked strawberries from a local farm.

Tell us about your proudest moment – or humble failure – in this week’s baking challenge.

I did this bake in true bake show fashion, in a very limited time frame. I had a hour to make this cake between when I got off of work and our British Baking Show watch party this evening. Ready, Set, Bake!

Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.

This cake is made with local strawberries I picked from a family farm in Dane County.
