Chocolate Bread

Give your bread a name and tell us about your recipe.

"Poppin’ Red" This is a white chocolate and raspberry bread. On the inside of the bread there are white chocolate chips and raspberries. Then, on top there is a drizzle of white chocolate. I found the recipe on Pinterest and it looked really yummy. My family has tons of fresh raspberries from our garden and I wanted to make something different and new with them.

Would you describe yourself as a rogue baker, or do you strictly adhere to the recipe?

For the most part, I stick to the recipe the first time around and then the more I make it more changes may be made. This was my first time making this bread and I think it turned out pretty good for the first time. However, the recipe called for almond extract and I didn’t have any on hand so that wasn’t added. Maybe next time I will add it to see if there is a difference or maybe add blueberries for a fourth of July twist.

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist to your bread creation.

To add a Wisconsin twist I added fresh Wisconsin raspberries to the bread. I was actually short some raspberries so I had to go out and pick more. Don’t worry I washed off the dirt and bugs 🙂
