Now that you’ve survived this challenge, what words of wisdom can you share?

Whip the butter, sugar and cinnamon into a paste and spread the paste on the rolled out dough. This keeps the cinnamon filling from falling out of the roll when you cut and lay it sideways. Two other good tips: never over-bake your cinnamon rolls and, when in doubt, add more frosting!

Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.

This cinnamon roll is your entire breakfast in a single bite. A basic cinnamon roll recipe was enhanced with a Wisconsin twist with maple syrup, bacon and cream cheese frosting. All were locally sourced, and nothing beats this frosting. Seriously. Nothing.
