How did this baker brighten our summer?
Alice’s kitchen is a place we want to hang out: practical, persevering, plucky. And delicious! Unafraid of daring attempts, be it a Cornish hand pie branded with a flying “W,” a 19th century Old English Spotted Dick — a steamed pudding — with Cream Custard or *drumroll* a gingerbread Lambeau Field, Alice took on summer unthwarted!

Maybe it’s because football season is upon us and we like our Green n’ Gold snazzy, sweet and snack-size, when we took a first look at Alice’s stunning “Packer’s Way Petit Fours” for Patisserie Week we just about fumbled! Go Pack Go!

We hope Lambeau Field had a construction crew as indomitable as Alice. Determined to build it out of gingerbread during Biscuits Week, she wrote in with the following frustration and declaration: “It must have been a wild night in the stadium. While the royal icing was setting and supposedly cementing my structure together, I had a snafu and one of my end zones collapsed. I'm now chipping mortar/icing so I can rework and decorate the playing field and all the people. I will not quit until redone!”
