Dark Treacle Tart – I used Mary Berry’s recipe for the dough, and a different recipe for the filling using molasses. Jumping between two different recipes did not help the final product. I really dislike the final result, but my husband enjoys it so that’s a plus.
Now that you survived this challenge, what words of wisdom do you have to share?
This was my first time making a tart, and I’m not particularly happy with the end result. I really struggled with rolling out the dough. I’ll need to watch some YouTube videos and better learn how to work with pie dough.
Tell us about how you added a Wisconsin twist.
No twist this time 🙁 I was going to top the treacle with cut outs of cows, but after struggling with rolling out the crust I did not want to deal with more dough.
