Queen Cherry Pie
Tell us about your proudest moment – or humble failure – in this week’s baking challenge.
Homemade crust is something a lot of people avoid. I am so proud of my pie crust. Turned out flaky, light and buttery. Homemade is always best.
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
I read up on the history of pies (I am a history buff) and credit goes to the English for giving Queen Elizabeth the 1st the very first cherry pie. So I of course had to make one and I used Door County cherries in my filling . . . because we're in WI; where else has better cherries?
How did you do?
