Biologist and Princeton University professor Shane Campbell-Staton, Ph.D., returns to PBS Wisconsin this summer with an all-new season of Human Footprint, exploring the global impact of Earth’s most ingenious, destructive and adaptive species – humans.
Season 2 explores the origins of our complex and controversial global food chain, the alliances humans have formed with species to control other species and what exactly is happening with bees. The series also examines how fashion has impacted the planet, the human quest to control water and the species on the brink of extinction.
The new season premieres 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, on PBS Wisconsin.
In the season’s fourth episode, “The Honey Trap,” premiering 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, Campbell-Staton travels to Wisconsin to find one of the country’s most endangered bees and meet scientists working to understand the dangers that all bees face.
