Guide to PBS Wisconsin Channels

PBS Wisconsin-1, PBS Wisconsin-2, PBS Wisconsin-3 and PBS Wisconsin-4. You may have seen these names before, but what are they?

These names refer to the four PBS Wisconsin channels available through over-the-air broadcasts and online: PBS Wisconsin, The Wisconsin Channel, Create and PBS Wisconsin PBS KIDS 24/7.

When watching the channels over-the-air, your television will have a main channel number (xx) followed by a -1, -2, -3 or -4. For example: 38-1. Main channel numbers differ depending on where you live; find a list of them at the bottom of this webpage.

Our flagship channel, PBS Wisconsin, is the channels ending in -1, so xx-1. The Wisconsin Channel is xx-2; Create is xx-3; and PBS Wisconsin/PBS KIDS is xx-4. Not all viewers have the same main channel number (xx), so we often refer to the channels as PBS Wisconsin-1, PBS Wisconsin-2, PBS Wisconsin-3 and PBS Wisconsin-4.

And if you cannot watch our programming over-the-air, you can also watch it live and on-demand on pbswisconsin.org from anywhere in Wisconsin. And, PBS Wisconsin-1 and the PBS Wisconsin PBS KIDS 24/7 channel at PBS Wisconsin-4 stream live in the free PBS Video and PBS KIDS Video app respectively on your Roku, other streaming devices and Smart TVs!
