Have fun giving your creation a name and please describe your recipe.
I {heart} Ice Cream Cakes, Bucky's Brownie Bites, and Beckys (aka Madeleines) — We used three different recipes.
For the ice cream sandwiches, we used a one-bowl chocolate cake recipe. We used the family favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream to fill them and topped them with a squiggle of gold icing.
The second recipe was for Brownie Petits Fours. We went a bit rogue with this recipe due to some odd pan sizes and the toppings. We winged a milk chocolate buttercream for the centers and made a milk/semi-sweet chocolate glaze, which wasn't thin enough. Each was topped with a mixture of red & white sugar.
Finally, we made Beckys (aka classic Madeleines). These are always a favorite cookie to grab from Starbucks, and ours rank right up there.
Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?
We are quite happy; we aren't a family of cake lovers, and it was so good. We used leftovers to create some cake truffles — otherwise known as cake pops when you don't have the stick. Our fussy eater loved the brownies and madeleines, so we know they were good.
Detail how you added a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or presentation.
We used lots of butter, milk and, of course, ice cream. Plus, we added in our Bucky, some red & white sugar, the green & gold on the ice cream sandwiches and the twist on the Madeleines, named for Bucky's love, Becky.
