Heavy Rains, Flooding Continue to Drench Wisconsin

Heavy rains pounded the state this week, with major flooding in western Wisconsin. A mudslide hit Highway 95 near Fountain City. Hundreds of people were evacuated from homes in Vernon and Buffalo counties. Flooding continued in the southeastern Wisconsin around Burlington. Damage from the floods in Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth counties is expected to cost more than $26 million.
