Labrador

An indie rock five-piece that sounds like the kind of thing you would hear in The Bronze on an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." A project from songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Hannah Switzer, drummer Lawrence Gann, bassist Ben Strohbeen, lead guitarist Grant Kempski and keys player Craig Hoffman, the band crafts music driven by Switzer’s insightful lyrics and exceptional voice.

electric guitar plays melody
I've been looking for you Crawling through bars Praying for a view Not that I would know what to do If you appeared Oh no Just like a dog, chasing a squirrel Except the dog is an idiot girl I know all my lines like a good actor should But my brain turns to mush My body into wood Ugh! You're not distant, you're just making room To save me a seat Oh no, you won't suffer fools That don't make you mean At least not to me Right Just like a dog, chasing a squirrel Except the dog is an idiot girl Why does everything have to be so dumb Dumb Dumb
electric guitar solo
Grant Kempski Do you wanna be dumb with me Smoke this thing out back in the alley Lean in real close in the dark Do you wanna be dumb with me Smoke this thing out back in the alley Stay up till we see the sun Dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb

"Your Mom"
Every time you snap at me I fall a little more out of love
rock guitar music
Every time you embarrass me I fall a little more out of love When you take for granted what I do for you It makes it hard For me to want to be touched by you Even in the dark Oooo Aaah Oooo Aaah It came on so slow and creeping Do you notice how you treat me Just like your mother on Thanksgiving I have been unfaithful In my mind Pressing my body against An invisible line When this world ends in ice Another starts in fire I'll tell you it is over Like I told you I was tired Oooo Aaah Oooo Aaah Do you really even see me Sinking in to home furnishings Just like your mother on Thanksgiving Left alone to do the washing Oooo Oooo Aaahhh Aahhh

"No Regrets"
We could go To the beach While it lasts I would get Sunburned for you What is left Like 15 good years The time for denying is past The world won't be for children But you and me, we could make something else
slow rock music with piano
We could drive To the desert I know you Wanna go So, why not right now with me Your friend who wants to hold your hand at the end I see you on the horizon Like a city in the desert in the dark You don't feel my spark I think you're a liar Climate-denier of your heart I just want no regrets I just want no regrets I just want no regrets I just want no regrets If this is the end I just want no regrets I just want no regrets Don't you want no regrets
soft notes on piano, slow then fade out

I know just what to say when someone dies I know what to do when he leaves you high and dry That's why I'm your rainy day friend Call me anytime for a bad time That's right, I'm your rainy day friend always The secret is that everyday's a bad day The secret is that everyday's a good day Truth is there have been a lot of bad days for me I haven't seen you in awhile Things must be going pretty good then It'd be nice to see you smile But I know where your next bad night ends With me, I'm your rainy day friend Call me anytime for a bad time I'm your rainy day friend always I'm too anxious to get drunk Ever since that one time, you were there, too At parties I just suck the air right out of the room When you wanna forget yourself You don't need me there to remind you Fun is for strangers just passing through I'm your rainy day friend Call me anytime for a bad time I'm your rainy day friend only
