Discover royal history, magnificent palaces, and England’s beautiful countryside. A British Blue Badge Guide greets us upon arriving in London, then our adventures begin with a visit to Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII’s favorite residence. Spring departures will visit Shakespeare’s Globe, a faithful reconstruction of the Elizabethan playhouse, while fall departures tour the grand Buckingham Palace, home of the monarch. Next, enjoy a panoramic tour of landmarks like Big Ben and the Tower of London, followed by a relaxing Thames River cruise and a traditional afternoon tea. Learn about WWII codebreakers in Bletchley Park before our journey continues to Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford and Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Winston Churchill’s ancestral home. See UNESCO World Heritage-listed Roman Baths in Bath, then board a ferry to Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s riverside retreat. Venture to Cornwall’s enchanting fishing village of Port Isaac, famous for its smuggling history, with time to explore legendary Tintagel. Our adventure concludes with exploring the mysteries of Stonehenge and two nights in Windsor, featuring a visit to elegant Windsor Castle.
