WPT to Broadcast National Memorial Day Concert Honoring U.S. Military

An encore broadcast will follow at 8:30 p.m. The concert honors the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, their families, and all those who have given their lives for our country. Tribute co-hosts Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna are joined by an all-star lineup of dignitaries, actors and musical artists. Guests include Colin L. Powell USA (Ret.); the rock band Daughtry; singers Natalie Cole and Trace Adkins; actors Selma Blair, Ellen Burstyn and Dennis Franz, and tenor Russell Watson in performance with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly.  WPT is a service of the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board and UW-Extension.           Wisconsin Public Television is a place to grow through learning on WHA-TV, Madison; WPNE-TV, Green Bay; WHRM-TV, Wausau; WLEF-TV, Park Falls; WHLA-TV, La Crosse; and WHWC-TV, Menomonie-Eau Claire.
