WPT Premieres New Season of "Wisconsin Foodie" in October

For More Information:Lynn Brockmeyer, WPT publicist, 608-263-3364, [email protected] Ernst, WPT promotion manager, 608-265-3853, [email protected] A new season of Wisconsin Foodie on Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) takes viewers on adventures across the state highlighting chefs, food growers, restaurants and personalities throughout Wisconsin while capturing the character of the local food scene. WPT will air Wisconsin Foodie at 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning Oct. 6. The Thursday episodes will encore at 10:30 p.m. Sundays. Each episode of Wisconsin Foodie incorporates travel, food and cooking in a half-hour program that connects Wisconsinites in a unique way to what they eat. Wisconsin Foodie travels to farms and kitchens throughout the state, taking viewers behind the scenes to see where the foods they eat come from, how they are prepared and to meet those doing the cooking. Destinations this season include Antigua Guatemala w/ Alterra Coffee, Chicago's best restaurants Alinea and Next, Bleu Mont Dairy in Blue Mounds, Willow Creek Farm in Prairie du Sac, European Home Made Sausage in Milwaukee, and White Fish & Wheat on Washington Island.
