Live at Overture: The Naughtons — airing 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 on WPT and streamed live at wpt.org on the Web — features the talented twin sisters playing musical selections that include Poulenc's "Concerto for Two Pianos." Viewers also will enjoy the MSO's performance of Kodály's "Dances of Galánta." A segment of the program profiles the Naughtons, who grew up in Madison and first performed with the MSO as young girls in the MSO's Fall Youth Concerto and the Bolz Young Artist Competitions. The Naughtons are graduates of the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where each was awarded the Festorazzi Prize for piano performance, and currently perform with notable orchestras around the world. Live at Overture: The Naughtons is part of WPT's multiyear Young Performers Initiative, a statewide effort to raise the visibility of the arts, celebrate the creative achievements of Wisconsin's young people and support the arts in education.
