Wisconsin Quilters Invited to Enter 2012 Quilt Expo Quilt Contest

Cash prizes are awarded for Best of Show, first-, second- and third-place in each of the 10 categories, and a Viewers' Choice winner selected by Quilt Expo attendees. For more information, call 800-253-1158.   Quilt Expo will be held 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily Thursday, Sept. 6 through Saturday, Sept. 8 in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. Highlights include the quilt contest, a vendor mall, stage presentations, informal lectures, Sit & Sew workshops, hands-on workshops, nationally known celebrity presenters, a prize raffle and special evening events. This year's evening events feature Marie Bostwick, New York Times best-selling author of the Cobbled Court Quilt novels and Wisconsin Folksinger Lil' Rev, whose songs, stories, poems and quilting lore offer an entertaining ode to quilters everywhere.
