Wisconsin Public Television's "Director's Cut" Spotlights Wisconsin Film Festival

For More Information:Lynn Brockmeyer, WPT publicist, 608-263-3364, [email protected] Pokorney-Donelan, WPT producer, 608-262-6456, [email protected]    Wisconsin Public Television's (WPT) Director's Cut, the series that focus on independent films and their filmmakers, will present an hour-long special featuring Wisconsin Film Festival Director Meg Hamel and several filmmakers whose films are featured in the upcoming festival. Director's Cut Wisconsin Film Festival Edition airs 8 p.m. Friday, March 25. WPT will present an encore of the program at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 30. Hamel will sit down with Director's Cut Host Charles Monroe-Kane to discuss highlights of the Wisconsin Film Festival, which runs Wednesday, March 30 through Sunday, April 3 in eight theaters throughout the city of Madison. The program also will include clips from several of the festival's 209 films as well as interviews with five filmmakers: Robb Thompson, director "SHC;" Brijetta Hall Waller, director of "At the Table: Mothers Sharing Stories Through Art;" Chele Isaac, director of "From the Archive of Vagaries;" Brian Standing, director of "Blink! Again" and William Q. Hartin, director of "Dark Ways."  WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and the University of Wisconsin–Extension.
