Celebrate Viterbo Arts combines musical highlights from the special anniversary performance and interviews with the university's arts program pioneers and current and former students.In addition to entertaining musical highlights from the gala performance in La Crosse, Celebrate Viterbo Arts explores the university's history and honors the programs' trailblazers Dr. Cyrilla Barr and Sisters Marie Leon LaCroix and Carlene Unser, FSPA, whose tenacity and commitment made Viterbo's arts programs possible.In the program, student performers share how the university's arts programs have shaped them into better performers, artists and musicians and prepared them for the road ahead, both on stage and off. In addition to the on-air broadcast, Celebrate Viterbo Arts will be streamed simultaneously on during its WPT premiere.Celebrate Viterbo Arts is part of WPT's multiyear Young Performers Initiative, a statewide effort to raise the visibility of the arts, celebrate the creative achievements of Wisconsin's young people and support the arts in education.                                                         Celebrate Viterbo Arts is funded in part by Mayo Clinic Health System — Franciscan Healthcare, Dairyland Power Cooperative, The Cleary Family and Friends of Wisconsin Public Television.WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and University of Wisconsin-Extension.Wisconsin Public Television is a place to grow through learning on WHA-TV, Madison; WPNE-TV, Green Bay; WHRM-TV, Wausau; WLEF-TV, Park Falls; WHLA-TV, La Crosse; and WHWC-TV, Menomonie-Eau Claire.-END-
