Local Bars to Celebrate Premiere of WPT's Bottoms Up Documentary and Book

Come together to cheer the inaugural airing of Wisconsin Public Television's documentary "Bottoms Up: Wisconsin's Historic Bars and Breweries" at one of dozens of premiere parties planned at bars and breweries throughout the state. (See list below.) WPT's hourlong documentary is based on the Wisconsin Historical Society Press book "Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin's Historic Bars & Breweries" by Jim Draeger and Mark Speltz. Both the documentary and the book explore the architecture and social history of Wisconsin's bars and breweries. The documentary debuts on the Wisconsin Public Television Flagship channel and Milwaukee Public Television channels 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12. The community is invited to watch the documentary with friends at one of dozens of Premiere Parties. Many are listed below. In addition, featured bars and Tavern League of Wisconsin member bars have all been encouraged to turn on the show that night.
