All-New Wisconsin Winter From the Air Premieres Statewide Nov. 30
In 2014's Wisconsin From the Air, public television viewers took flight above the state we call home.
Now, Wisconsin Winter From the Air - an all-new, visually stunning program - takes Wisconsinites into the sky again to capture the wonder of a winter season that transforms the state's landscape.
Wisconsin Winter From the Air premieres statewide on Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and Milwaukee Public Television 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30. Encore broadcasts will be featured on WPT 9 p.m. the same night, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6.
In the all-new program, viewers will fly over some of Wisconsin's most beloved landmarks and travel inside the active pastimes that bring us out into the cold to explore. From Racine's Lake Michigan shoreline to the ice caves of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, they'll loft above running rivers and frozen fields, soar over lighthouses and cityscapes, ski down snow-covered hills and across wandering trails and snowmobile along icy lakes.
Celebrated Wisconsin author Michael Perry offers his voice for narration in the film and Janesville composer Matthew Hollingsworth returns to reprise his score from Wisconsin From the Air with an all-new soundtrack of inspiring music to accompany the new film.
Funding for Wisconsin Winter From the Air is provided by Ron and Colleen Weyers, Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Morgan's Shoes, John E. Kuenzl Foundation, Stanley J. Cottrill Fund, Francis A. and Georgia F. Ariens Fund within the Brillion Area Family of Funds, Holiday Vacations, and Friends of Wisconsin Public Television.
WPT is a service of the Educational Communications Board and University of Wisconsin-Extension.
Wisconsin Public Television is a place to grow through learning on WHA-TV, Madison; WPNE-TV, Green Bay; WHRM-TV, Wausau; WLEF-TV, Park Falls; WHLA- TV, La Crosse; and WHWC-TV, Menomonie-Eau Claire.
