Spicy Celtic Knot Cookies

After this episode aired, we knew we wanted to try our hand at the jumble biscuits (a.k.a. celtic knots) in celebration of one of our favorite summer festivals … Irish Fest. We added a bit of green sugar topping as a nod to the wearing the green that many Milwaukeeans will do at Irish Fest this weekend.
It’s Wisconsin Week, so you need to showcase a super Wisconsin twist to your recipe and/or arrangement. Tell us about it.
We think caraway is great in breads, accompanied by a Milwaukee Fish Fry of course, but we weren’t too thrilled with the idea of putting it in a cookie. So instead, we used spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and pepper for a really spicy kick. Flavor was great, and the cookies smelled like gingerbread. We used local free range eggs and Wisconsin butter.
