Caramel Apple Birthday Surprise

What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!

The caramel! It got too hard overnight in the fridge, and then it separated when I reheated it. This was a fun cake, but definitely challenging since there was no gluten and no cane sugar. It is entirely sweetened with Wisconsin maple syrup!

How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?

This is full of Wisconsin maple syrup, the *best* maple syrup. 🙂
