Badger Choux Buns. This recipe is a mashup of several other recipes. We started with a basic choux pastry dough, then filled the choux buns with strawberry slices and a blend of whipped cream and mashed strawberries. Finally, we topped the buns with a frosting made from leftover strawberry juice and powdered sugar. The end result was very sweet but very delicious!
Tell us about your creation's final texture after baking. Are you happy with it?
We weren't sure about the correct baking time because we made our choux buns much smaller than the recipe suggested, in an attempt to achieve a petit four size that would please Paul Hollywood. We took the first batch out of the oven when they looked golden and sounded hollow, but we ended up having to put them back and bake a little longer to get the texture we were hoping for. The second time around, we had the timing and texture just right!

The Wisconsin Badgers football team had their first game this weekend, so we made a red and white dessert in their honor.
