Snickerdoodle brandied peach upside down cake. It is in memory of my mother-in-law Diane who asked for my snickerdoodle cookies and liked her brandy manhattans.
Tell us about your proudest moment – or humble failure – in this week’s baking challenge.
When turning the cake over and seeing how well the cake held together. Also the sauce with the cinnamon and brandy was so good I would keep "testing" the flavor.
Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.
My husband is from Wisconsin and the theme is in memory of my mother-in-law Diane. She passed away five years ago this year from cancer. I always think of her when I make anything snickerdoodle and her go-to cocktail was a brandy manhattan. She was from Marinette, WI. We miss her.
