"Thanksgiving in July" Bourbon, Ginger & Pecan Pie

Tell us about your proudest moment – or humble failure – in this week’s baking challenge.

It was deliciously confusing having the smells of Thanksgiving all around my kitchen on a sunny July afternoon! I make this every Thanksgiving as I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie. The bourbon & ginger really elevate this pie, and using maple syrup adds another tasty twist. Nearly all of the pie was gone before I remembered to take a photo.

Describe how you added a Wisconsin twist to your creation.

Wisconsin bourbon, maple syrup, eggs and butter.
