Wisconsin Chiffon Cake

"On Wisconsin" Oreo Chiffon Cake – We had high hopes for this and it fell a bit flat. Actually, the taste left the household divided. The males loved it and the females did not. Clearly, we are missing the height, and this is apparently due to the fact that half of a boxed angel food cake ended up on the bottom of the oven with the other half comprising the measly height of this cake.
What was the biggest surprise during your baking journey? Did you use any unconventional approaches? What did you learn along the way? Tell us about it!
This was our summer of challenges. We completed the search for all 85 Bucky(s) on Parade and the 10 bakes. We were quite surprised by the flavors we were able to achieve in a number of the bakes. We loved the bread and cinnamon rolls. We were pleasantly surprised by our abilities because we are definitely novice bakers. It was a wonderful way for us (mom & daughter) to spend time together.
How did you add a Wisconsin twist to your flavors or decoration?
We used fresh Wisconsin eggs (lots of them), milk and, of course, some freshly whipped Sassy Cow whipping cream. Bucky popped in to show his support & our achievement of finding all 85 statues.
