  • Why are almost all of the dramas British, South African or Australian (British English)? Sometimes the accents are difficult to understand. Are there any dramas on PBS that take place in the U.S. ?

    • Hi Deb – we are not currently broadcasting any American-based dramas but all programs we broadcast are closed caption.

    • Deb: agreed. Some accents are difficult be they British, Australian, or whatever, but we simply turn on our ‘closed caption’ to supplement some of the phrases. We especially look forward to these off-shore series because, in many instances, they are a bit more interesting than ours.
