PBS Wisconsin has been awarded a Public Media Award for excellence and breadth of COVID-19 content by the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA).
Every year for the past 52 years, the Public Media Awards celebrate excellence in public media. This year, that excellence was amplified by creative and inspired responses to multiple crises. All across the country, public media stations rose to the moment and served their communities during their time of critical need.
PBS Wisconsin was honored for its COVID-19 coverage, which has included news coverage from Here & Now, Noon Wednesday and WisContext, and special projects like the “No Place Like Home” essay series, Celebrating Wisconsin’s Graduates television special and Wisconsin Life segments.
