Why is western Wisconsin always overlooked? West Salem has one of the few free fairs left … no parking fee, no admission fee, and lots to do. La Crosse’s Irish Fest is one to head to. Plus, there are many more to consider.

Hello Patsy, I love these suggestions and will pass them on to the producers! We worked to really cover all of the state last year. We were in La Crosse to cover the Hmong Language and Culture Camp. This year, we will be exploring the 100 Mile Garage Sale along the Great River Road.
And since you mentioned the Irish festival, we wanted to mention this story on Irish Road Bowling (https://wisconsinlife.org/story/irish-road-bowlers-compete-on-backroads-of-la-crosse-county). Feel free to reach out with more ideas of happenings or stories in the area by emailing [email protected]. Thank you!
