Knowledge Exchange Series on Children, Youth and Young Adult Caregivers

Are you a student who also assists a parent, grandparent, or sibling? Are you interested in learning how to support caregivers as a future professional?

To mark National Family Caregivers Month, UW CIPE’s Knowledge Exchange Series returns this November 2026 with an interprofessional documentary screening (Caregiving) and active learning experience devoted to the misunderstood topic of children, youth and young adult caregivers. Dr. Melinda S. Kavanaugh, Professor of Social Work at UW-Milwaukee, will facilitate discussion and present the latest research on young carers.
