Eau Claire, PBS Wisconsin is coming your way to hear what A250 means to you!

On June 9 and 10, PBS Wisconsin invites community members to visit the Chippewa Valley Museum to share their personal reflections on America’s 250th anniversary.

All reflections will be filmed by PBS Wisconsin and may* be featured in MyAmerica@250, a social media campaign designed to capture and amplify a variety of perspectives from Wisconsinites on what the anniversary means to them.

To connect with as many people as possible, PBS Wisconsin will host two community callouts at the Chippewa Valley Museum: the first will be held from 5-7 p.m. on June 9, and the second will take place from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10. After participating, make sure to save some time to take a look at the Chippewa Valley Museum’s new A250-themed exhibit, The U.S. at 250: Settlement and Survival.

No prior registration is required. Just show up, and we’ll do our best to get you in and out as quickly as possible! Attendees can expect to answer 1-2 questions related to the theme, “What America’s 250th anniversary means to me.”

*PBS Wisconsin respects and values your opinions. Unfortunately, we can’t include every interview in our broadcasts or videos. Thank you!

About the Chippewa Valley Museum’s The U.S. at 250: Settlement and Survival exhibit:

Through some moments — small within the national story — and a handful of objects, The U.S. at 250 provides a glimpse into the lives of the local folks who brought us to this moment. The exhibit invites visitors to consider how objects, some common, some not, connect us all from coast to coast while allowing guests to think more deeply about the great American experiment.
