As lake lovers prepare to comb mayflies out of their hair and gardeners test their will (and patience) to await the post-frost/warm-season crop planting date of May 20(ish), PBS Wisconsin goes into a little bit of a summer hibernation.

New and returning programs that carried us through winter and early spring are wrapping their seasons as casts and crews prepare for what’s ahead later this year (it’ll be here before you know it). Whether you watch live, stream through the free PBS app or dive deeper with PBS Passport, we’re glad you’re here.

Wrapping up the season

Thursday, May 7, marks the season finales of John McGivern’s Main Streets (7 p.m.) and Wisconsin Foodie (7:30 p.m.). McGivern and co-host Emmy Fink visit Port Washington, while Luke Zahm explores two Wisconsin culinary traditions: kringle and Door County whitefish.
