Doors Open Milwaukee

Get a peek behind the microphone at the WPR Milwaukee Studios! Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with studio and transmission engineers, the WPR news department, and WPR's local afternoon drive radio host, Jason Heilman. Those who stop by will be able to go inside the studios and see how radio is made! This is a family-friendly location with experiences for all ages.

WPR is bringing live classical music to local venues. Join us for an evening of classical favorites and pop covers. We’ll be at Honest Dog Books in Bayfield with the Bach to Pop Strings quartet. Bring a friend or your family and spend the evening supporting local music and local radio.

Welcome Poets Screening at the Midwest Video Poetry Festival

On October 18 at 7 p.m., the Midwest Video Poetry Festival will present a screening of the PBS Wisconsin digital series 'Welcome Poets,' in which the life and work of the 20th century poet Lorine Niedecker is celebrated through the reflections of 2023-24 Wisconsin State Poet Laureate Nicholas Gulig. This event is hosted by the Madison Art + Literature Lab.
