If you were anything like me this week, you spent a couple off hours completely engaged with the powerful episode of Frontline: The Interrupters. The program took us inside the world of the Chicago CeaseFire project and three of their brave Violence Interrupters who strive every day to prevent an epidemic of violence in their communities.
The film outlined a collection of heartbreaking tragedies that have scarred Chicago neighborhoods and inspirational examples of success from the non-profit project. We also met a number of young Chicago residents who were working to turn their lives around in the midst of challenging situations.
Now, you can find out where those people have gone in their lives since the film was made. Learn more about their stories in this series of videos.
If you didn’t get the chance to watch The Interrupters, do it now. You can view it in the video box below, or check it out on the PBS app for iPad or iPhone.
