How did this baker brighten our summer?
Ruth was among the challengers who delivered a high-octane Wisconsin Twist every week. It’s always a commitment to bake, but to take extra time to add Wisconsin context and build a actual story into your Sweet Dough is an extra commitment for which we’re really grateful. Her “hidden design” cake revealing a Green n’ Gold shape of Wisconsin, her flying “W” raspberry meringue, her Northwoods chiffon cake — these define our Star Baker, Ruth.

Maybe, possibly our favorite Wisconsin twist of Ruth’s is her Gingerbread Miller Park because. . . well. . . the Milwaukee Brewers are playing in the 2018 World Series right now! But maybe, possibly it’s *also* because her gingerbread alchemy which transformed flower, sugar, eggs and butter into such Brew Crew magnificence is UH-MAZING! We think it’s both. And we’re holding on to it as a good luck charm.

Kudos to Ruth for exemplifying the care work that comes along with sharing food. She made pie during Week 5 for her husband and others who prepare for the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture air show in Oshkosh — because airplanes aren’t the only things that need fuel!
